This assessment takes about 30–40 minutes and has five short parts, ending with three brief video answers recorded right here in your browser.
Please use a device with a camera and microphone (a phone works great) and complete it in one sitting. Answer honestly — this role is a great fit for some people and a poor fit for others, and finding that out now is a gift to both of us.
A Home Buying Specialist at Longleaf helps homeowners — many of them in a hard season of life — sell a house directly to us, quickly and without repairs, listings, or showings.
You work from our Augusta office, Monday–Friday, roughly 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Almost the entire day is spent on the phone — two or more hours of live talk time every single day is the norm, and it's the number-one predictor of success in this seat. You'll follow a structured daily schedule: morning role-play, follow-up calls, high-volume dialing in the windows when sellers answer, CRM updates before you leave.
The conversations are the heart of the job. You'll talk with people facing foreclosure, divorce, a death in the family, an inherited house they can't maintain. Your job is to listen far more than you talk, understand their situation and their feelings, and guide them to the decision that's right for them — even when that decision isn't us. We are zero-pressure and honest with sellers, always.
You'll run a proven script refined over hundreds of deals, get coached on recordings of your real calls, and role-play daily. The leads you call are generated by the company's marketing and belong to the company. In return: a full system behind you, a team handling dispositions and closings, daily training, and clear weekly goals.
It's a demanding, repetitive, deeply human job. The people who thrive love the phone, love people, and love running a play that works.
For each pair, choose the statement that sounds more like you. Neither answer is "wrong."
Each scenario comes from real situations our team faces. There's rarely one perfect answer — for each scenario, mark the response you'd MOST likely take and the one you'd LEAST likely take.
Real jobs involve trade-offs. There are no wrong answers here — pick the option that's most true for you, even if several appeal.
Three video answers, one question at a time — you won't see a question until you reveal it. Once revealed, you get 2 minutes to think, then recording starts automatically (up to 2 minutes per answer, and up to two takes per question). Take a breath and talk to us like a person — polish doesn't matter, honesty does.
When you click the button, the question appears and a 2-minute think timer starts. Recording begins automatically when the timer runs out — or click “I'm ready” to start sooner. You get up to two takes.
Tell us about the longest stretch you’ve spent in a phone-heavy, high-volume role (or the closest thing to it). What did you like most — and least — about it?
